For many sailors, the exhilaration experienced from racing really gets the heart beating.

It is great fun to be on the start line with a group of yachts all trying to be in the best position to be first across as the gun goes!

Racing involves lots of skill and tactics, but most important is the team work and camaraderie of the crew on board.

Our Programme for 2010 includes:

Cowes to Deauville Race 27-30 May 2010
After a day of training we race overnight to Deauville, making the most of the local hospitality before returning the following day.

Round the Island Race 17-20 June
A full day of training before heading to Cowes for final preparations, for what is one of the highlights of the yachting calendar.

Cowes Week 2010 31 July-05 August
Join us for a fusion of competitive sailing and social activitie. You can come for one day of racing or more....

Beneteau Cup 19-22 August 2010
This race in Cowes is the Holy Grail for all Beneteau owners.

Join us as we race Koru amongst other cruising and racing yachts from the same boat builder.

RAF Battle of Britain Regatta 24-26 September 2010
This is a great fun weekend hosted by the RAF Club in the Hamble. After racing 'round the cans' in the Solent we join fellow racing teams at the clubhouse for music and food.

Womens Racing
How do you fancy a very special opportunity to do some racing with an all female crew?

It is great fun and very exhilarating since there are very few yachts that are raced entirely by women.

Koru-our racing yacht
Koru is a Beneteau First 36.7 cruiser/racer. She is classy, spacious and totally gorgeous to sail. For racing she has a number 1 and number 3 carbon fibre genoa, a fully battened main sail plus a conventional spinnaker.

She was built in 2002 and was originally privately owned, so her condition is A1. Koru is fully coded to enable us to use her for teaching and she sleeps 6 in 3 cabins and the saloon.
