Inspirational Young People

In a media climate full of ASBO's and detailed reports of delinquent youth, it is refreshing to know that the all powerful press can be wrong! We are fortunate to be able to support two inspirational young people in their personal challenges.

A Solo Atlantic Rower
Sam Williams (age 23) is currently 45 days into his solo row across the Atlantic, in his 23ft 'Pacific Pete'. His aim is to raise at least £20k for the charity FARM-Africa. With 1375 miles to go, he is past the halfway mark- keep going Sam!

A Budding RYA Yachtmaster
At 17, jellyellie is a published author and RYA Day Skipper. Her next goal is to achieve her RYA Coastal Skipper qulaification before she reaches 18.

Sailing for young people
If you have, or if you know, a child or young person who would love the opportunity to learn to sail, then age does not have to be the barrier!

RYA Competent Crew no minimum age limit
RYA Day Skipper theory no minimum age limit
RYA Day Skipper practical minimum age 16

Dream or Two is able to take unaccompanied young people (under the age of 18) for sailing courses. All of our instructors have fully enhanced CRB checks which include insuring that they are not on the POCA (Prevention of Child Abuse) list.

Additionally, we have all the required risk assessments in relation to young people being on board.
