Own Boat Tuition | About Us
Truly Scrumptious, our Bavaria 36, has joined us in the Solent.
She is in superb condition throughout and is an excellent yacht for those wishing to charter in the Solent and surrounding area, both independently and with support.
She is coded to the required specifications for chartering and teaching, so her safety equipment and inventory is comprehensive and to the highest standards.
Independent Charter
Would you like to charter your own yacht to explore the magic of the Solent and surrounding area with friends or family?
If you have qualified to RYA Yachtmaster Coastal or RYA Yachtmaster Offshore with Dream or Two (or if you have been assessed by our RYA Chief Instructor) then Truly Scrumptious is available for weekends and week long charter.
'Mother Duck' Supported Charter
If you have gained your RYA Day Skipper practical qualification (or above) with Dream or Two, but have yet to charter (or sail without an RYA instructor on board) in tidal waters, then our Mother Duck scheme is ideal for you.
Our Mother Duck scheme provides the opportunity to skipper your own yacht with the support of an RYA instructor who will be sailing on our lead yacht- think mini flotilla!
Before setting out, the daily destination is identified. You will then plan your route (tides etc) and agree it with our RYA instructor who is then able to support you with your departure if required.
You can sail independently (or with the lead yacht) to the agreed final destination where, once again, our RYA instructor can provide support with berthing as required.
Throughout your 'Mother Duck' charter, not only will you have the support of one of our RYA instructors 24/7, you will also have full land based support with the option of Dream or Two providing full or partial victualling to keep life simple and enable you to focus on your sailing!
