Are you an experienced, skilled, highly committed and competitive sailor interested in racing at world class level in 2012?
We are offering a limited number of places to join our 2012 campaign.
This includes being on the start line amongst some 70 other J80's at the J80 world championships in Dartmouth in June 2012!
A J80 is described as a boat that 'rewards skill, not weight and muscle' so includes women as well as men and all shapes and sizes welcome!
We intend to race in other major events during the 2012 season including:
Round the Island Race 30th June J Cup 25-28 June J80 Nationals 07-09 September Cowes Week 11-19 August
Wairua, our J80 is berthed at Hamble, easily accessible for winter and spring training weekends and many of the major races during 2012.
The plan is to hold a number of pre-selection trials during the winter and spring 2012 to enable us to establish two teams who will race at the various events during 2012.
Pre-Selection trials will comprise 2 weekends of training and racing with your Dream or Two Racing Coach, after which time, a race selection will be made with you to establish which races you are entered for during the 2012 season.

Step 2 -
Selection & Training
We discuss with you the team that will most suit you and offer you the opportunity to race in a number of events during the 2012 season. This we do during our Selection & Training Weekends through the Spring of 2012. You have to select and commit to at least two weekends from the table below.
Selection for each team will depend on sailing ability, compatibility (with fellow team members) and weight (for class racing we are limited to an overall maximum crew weight).

If you are not selected for the J80 World Championships you will be offered the J80 National championships from 07-09 September (with training).
Once selected for either team costs will be split between the crew for travel, food, accommodation and fuel. Boat costs will also be split between Dream or Two and crew. A budget will be provided during your first training weekend.
What is included?
Highly experienced Dream or Two Racing Coach who is in position as tactician during races.
Designated helm - qualified to RYA Yachtmaster Instructor level and experienced J80 racer
Wairua - our J80 - coded and spec'd for commercial use and regularly raced during the 2010 and 2011 season
Two Pre-selection Training/Racing Weekends during January and February 2012
At least two (to a maximum of five) Selection & Training weekends during March & April 2012
All race entry fees and mooring fees during training & selection
